Would like a highflow cat. Low mileage pref. Wash DC area would be nice too.

They seem to have a high failure rate on the RX-8 for some reason...

For that reason, I'd recommend buying new only, so that you at least have some recourse should it die on you.

Most manufacturers of aftermarket cat companies won't fix a faulty cat. The only thing they would be able to do is give a new one and I don't see them doing that. Confused

Many have gotten replacements, but they end up selling them because they know it's not going to last long. I think you'll need a high quality ceramic one, the plain metal ones melt quickly. And the premium paid for the high quality cat isn't going to make it worthwhile for the 3 hp gain you'll get from it.
