Most manufacturers of aftermarket cat companies won't fix a faulty cat. The only thing they would be able to do is give a new one and I don't see them doing that.

Many have gotten replacements, but they end up selling them because they know it's not going to last long. I think you'll need a high quality ceramic one, the plain metal ones melt quickly. And the premium paid for the high quality cat isn't going to make it worthwhile for the 3 hp gain you'll get from it.
