| I decided against using this premix. Instead, I went with Royal Purple synthetic 2 stroke oil. |

| btw, I'm quite happy with the rp 2 stroke oil. I put in 8 oz in the last tank of gas and the car was smooth like butter. |

I've run synthetic 2 stroke in 1/4 oz per gallon, and while I agree it improves things, I've found that FP-60 fuel system cleaner/lubricant provides the same lubrication qualities and helps brake up carbon deposits. I love the stuff and am using a ratio of 3:1 fp60 to lucas ucl. That mixture at a ratio of 1/4 oz per gallon has been working great.
There are some concerns that pre-mix is the cause behind the gunky buildup on the fuel pump screens, but if starvation becomes an issue, I'll cross that bridge when I get there. In the interim the gains are too big to pass up IMO. |

I bought the new FP60 - I think it's called FP4000 or something. It's similar to FP60, but it's also a UCL. So I premix about 2-4 oz of that per tank, and no more 2 stroke oil since I have the Sohn OMP adapter (see DIY forum for details).
I think this is the best overall setup for the RX-8. |
