  lack of performance

Hi I have a 53 plate rx8 and have recently had a few problems with it which started with a lazy starter motor, battery and then I had to replace the coils and plugs which were very expensive! In the summer months performance seemed to lag when the car became hot and now in the winter it runs good when first started but after i has come up to temperature and youve been driving for about 30 mins the sharpness and power seems to dissappear slighlty. Also when idle the revs go up and down and quite often the car will even stall when coming to a complete stop.
As I know very little about these cars I would greatly appreciate some insight into what could be wrong.
