I used to own two canscan (usb) that I hooked up to my laptop.
This time around I decided to try the palm version. You can buy a color palm pilot on ebay for under $50. Black and white ones can be bought for $0.99 (I actually paid that much for a m125).
Anyway, I made a quick video of how the canscan works in conjunction with a PDA.

| Is having this of any use besides being able to diagnose your car for troubleshooting purposes? |

If you're tuning your car, you can make use of it, though you're likely better off going with a real wideband sensor and tuning off of that.
The car's sensor is calibrated for a specific AFR range, outside of that range, it's not going to be as accurate. |
